I Am Your Worst Fear I Am Your Best Fantasy

“I am your worst fear I am your best fantasy” is a fashion design and visual communications project created by young artist Fredrika Frykstrand. In a video interview I produced for Your Living City she talks about the concept and motivations that took her to dig into the archives of LGBTQ protest signs and imagery from the 70s, 80s and 90s in order to bring them back to life as everyday wear pieces.

Fredrika‘s designs have a defined DIY style to connect to the feel of those signs used by LGBTQ activists in protests and Pride events. In her modern vision, the clothes have now become the tool to manifest messages and the body is the platform that connects with the viewer.
